Self-care starts within. We are thrilled you have chosen to join us at Living Self-Care for our May/Mother’s Day Contest/Challenge as you move toward making yourself a priority in life. Our Challenge is not a competition. Instead, it is designed to encourage and support women as they move themselves to the top of their lists in order to support themselves as well as they do others.
We’d like to give everyone the opportunity to win fabulous prizes to help in your journey toward Living Self-Care in your own life. All you need to do is read Diane’s List of Twelve Plus Two, select one that you either already routinely use or would like to routinely use, try it out (if applicable) and write a short paragraph describing your experiences. Email your paragraph to Stacey before midnight CST on Friday, May 25, 2012 to be eligible for our fabulous prizes!
Some of the prizes are:
- $25 gift certificates to Amazon.com
- Gift certificate to Massage Envy
- PSI T-Shirt & DVD
- Pedicure kit
Self-care does not have to be expensive, tedious, or adhere to any set rules. What works to soothe your soul may not work for another woman. Here at Living Self-Care we believe in celebrating every woman as she celebrates herself. We look forward to walking your Self-Care journey with you and hope these prizes offer a bit of pizazz to your travels!

I’m glad you didn’t make it a “competition.” Very cool. That’s the essence of self-care.
I was just talked about taking time for caring for myself with my husband. As a busy Mom of three and husband that travels. I have forgotten how to do this and that it so important for me to take time and do things for just me!
Sounds great, I have been looking for a book.
Looking forward to finding ways for self-care without feeling selfish. I’m slowly learning this is possible.
It seems so unattainable, but I will happily be following your blog to for help to reach that so elusive state of making myself a priority in life.
I struggle with all of these daily. After the birth of my baby, I do not know where I fit in. I need to start taking as good care of me as I do her.
I just found your site and love it. I love the self-care challenge and the book looks terrific. I’ve been focusing on self-care for a few years now and can attest to the power of it. And, as you said, it doesn’t have to cost money. I lead women’s circles based on the book by Renee Trudeau,
The Mother’s Guide to Self-Renewal, and we’ve discovered that self-care is not necessarily about pedicures, although those than be nice. But the most rewarding forms of self-care involve releasing critical thoughts about myself, walking around my neighborhood pond each morning, and asking my husband for help.
